All YOUNG N SPIRIT (senior adults) are invited to our monthly programs and luncheons held at Parkside Church. We have guest speakers joining us to talk about issues relevant to seniors (such as health and services) or topics of general interest (such as local history or arts). The Young N Spirit Adult Ministry occasionally organizes day trips as well. If you are a Young N Spirit, we would love to have you join us.

Senior adults make up the fastest growing segment of our society. Their numbers are growing three times faster than the national population rate. At the turn of the last century, life expectancy was 37 years and there were only three million people age 65 age and older. Today, life expectancy has more than doubled to over 75 years and there are more than 35 million who are age 65 and older.  As a result, churches are becoming more aware of the need to provide informed, intentional and innovative ministries and ministry opportunities to those who are celebrating the second half of life.
