Stephen Ministry

Parkside's Stephen Ministry trains  and organizes lay people to provide one-to-one Christian care to hurting people in and around our church and community.  Our lay caregivers (Stephen Ministers) provide one-to-one Christian care to the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, and others facing a crisis or life challenge.

Parkside's Stephen Ministry helps Parkside provide quality caring ministry for as long as people need it. Parkside Stephen Ministry Team provides Biblical equipping that is a life-transforming process. In  ChristCare Group, members follow an 8-step cycle of hearing, discussing, reflecting upon, and living the Scriptures, not only when they are together as a group, but between group meetings.

Parkside FBC Stephen's Ministry Training Team

Rob Woodside, Karan Lane, Kay Kaster and Teresa Bishop all went to St. Louis in April to take the Stephen's Ministry Leadership Training Course.  They then taught a Stephens Ministry course last summer and there are now several Stephen's Ministers currently trained and ready to listen.  Watch the video below and see what Stephens Ministry is all about.
