"The Importance of Fellowship"
There are several different systems for determining a person's temperament or personality, and I've spent a lot of time (the past 12 years) studying and reading about them. Rather you are a social type or a homebody, a person with 50 "best" friends or someone who only needs one or two close people in your life, we all have the need for someone to connect with.
Genesis 2:18 tells us "And the Lord God said, "It is not good for man to be alone". Although this verse is directly referring to the creation of woman for man, it is also indirectly addressing the human need to be with other people. God did not intend for us to be alone. He created us to relieve the "aloneness" of one another. It is significant that verse 25 of Genesis 2 goes on to point out that the man and woman were naked and unashamed. This nakedness is our "soul vulnerability", our need to be accepted as we are. In our first study on June 2, we will be taking a deeper look at our need for intimacy and fellowship - first with God, and secondly with each other.
I hope you will join us.
Blessings to you, Tammy
