Our Adult Sunday School Mission and Goals

Parkside First Baptist Church Adult Sunday School and Christian Education program is to reach, teach and equip our youth, children and adults to live a Christian life. We nurture the children into a closer relationship with God through prayer and Bible study.

Parkside First Baptist Church strives to be a teaching and training center that impacts children by modeling the life of Jesus Christ through instruction, fellowship and worship. Using a Bible based curriculum, everyone can process and incorporate theses stories into their hearts and lives as they learn them each year. The goal of our Christian education is to provide enjoyment for all ages, combined with a desire to know more about God, about his Son, and about Christian life.

Sunday school is for all ages and it is fun. It is through Sunday School that we gain in knowledge, spirit and fellowship. All ages have the opportunity to be with their peers in a small group-learning environment. The teachers are all volunteers that are committed to investing in our individuals with love, time, and prayers while equipping them to live their daily lives in a morally sound manner.

Parkside First Baptist Church is a caring family that invites and nurtures individuals in Christian fellowship through participation in class study. We strive to teach a Christian worldview that encourages the individuals to become active in reaching others.

We have small groups meeting thoughout the week.

Our Small Group Mission Statement:
"Believing that God's main concern is that we live in relationship with Him and caring relationships with one another, we will encourage one another to participate in small group ministry in order that every person in our midst feels loved by God and by us."

Our Small Group Goals:

That every person who worships our Parkside First Baptist Church feel cared for by at least one other person from Parkside.
That several opportunities for small group study/fellowship will be offered annually with that number increasing each year.
That training for lay/group leaders will be held on a regular basis.

The Details...

The emphasis is on building relationships/friendships and prayer recognizing the comfort level of the members. This is all done within the context of God's Word.

Wednesday Night at 6:00pm is an opportunity for prayer, Bible Study and fellowship at the church in the Fellowship Hall.

There are many opportunities throughout the week to join the church family for corporate prayer and encouragement. Call the church office to find the opportunity the best fits your schedule.

Prayer Group Mission
To recruit, train, and mobilize the congregation to pray specifically and intentionally. This will honor God and enhance the ministry of Parkside First Baptist Church.

Women's Mission Statement

The women's ministry of Parkside First Baptist Church provides opportunities for women to fulfill their calling to share in the Great Commission Christ gave to His church. Through services to others, support from other Christian women and through important social contact, women's ministry enables women to establish and strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ, develop in Godly maturity, leadership skills and share the message of Jesus Christ with the world.
